Why does choosing a really experienced team for your hair transplant matter?
This is a male patient of ours, 13 months post-Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) transplant. He has had one session, during which we implanted 2,436 grafts into his hairline and the area just behind it, which is turning into what we call the “mid-scallop.”
This gentleman had recession at the apex on either side of his forehead, and he was starting to develop early signs of a horseshoe-shaped hair loss pattern around his front hairline, leaving more of a central tuft in the middle.
In many instances, a strong central tuft can provide a youthful appearance in men. If you have a well-defined central tuft, you can afford to lose a lot of hair on the apex without drastically affecting your overall look. It’s when that central tuft starts to thin and shrink in size that you begin noticing changes in the hairline, which contribute to the aging process.
In this case, we filled out the apex areas on either side with grafts and added some to the middle of the horseshoe-shaped hair loss to create a more continuous hairline. This improvement gives him a much more youthful appearance and enhances his overall look.
It’s important to note that individual results can vary. All medical procedures carry risks, and before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified healthcare practitioner. Thanks for watching.
